Tools used for advanced predictive modeling provide unique insight into the existing and future value of a company’s enterprise information

ESOPValuator, has chosen NLP Logix, both of Jacksonville, FL, to provide advanced machine-learning and predictive modeling as part of ESOPValuator’s offering.
Employee Stock Ownership Plan’s (ESOP) are a popular mechanism for a company to provide its workforce with ownership in the company. This ownership is in the form of shares, which are held in an ESOP trust until the employee retires or leaves the company, at which time the shares are sold. One of the most critical tasks in establishing an ESOP is a fair and objective valuation of the current and future worth of the company.
ESOPValuator has been successfully providing these services to a diverse set of clients, establishing an employee ownership structure. Traditionally these valuations have considered the usual assets and liabilities of a company to establish an initial value, and then update and adjust on an annual basis. However, ESOPValuator has seen the need to provide a fair and objective value to an asset of a company that often gets overlooked: the company’s data.
“The complexity of establishing a current and future value of a company’s enterprise data is getting more and more challenging,” said Robert G. Hetsler, Jr., J.D, CPA, Managing Partner, ESOPValuator. “I was extremely impressed with the ability of NLP Logix to employ machine learning to deliver very accurate data models of a company, as well as use that information to establish a predictive value to the data in the future. This additional insight and understanding is critical for my clients.”
Over the past two years, NLP Logix has built predictive models to perform such tasks as; analyzing over 25,000 individual medical records to predict which patients will develop type II diabetes; predicting the mail return rates for the US Census; increasing the response rates to a direct mail marketing campaign; and most recently they are participating in an international contest sponsored by General Electric to predict the arrival times for aircraft across the United States.
“The NLP Logix machine learning tool set is perfect for establishing a fair value of a company’s big data,” continued Hetsler. “When the data is so big that no human could hope to get a full understanding, let alone begin to place a value, it is nice to know that we have NLP Logix who can put the machines to work.”
